What You'll Do
- Provides safe, age-appropriate patient care, including medication administration, IV titrations, monitoring, ventilator management, treatments, and procedures.
- Assesses and documents patient conditions, recognizes changes, reviews test results, and communicates critical findings to guide the plan of care.
- Responds to emergencies (RRT, Code Blue/White), advocates for patients, and makes appropriate referrals to address clinical, social, or safety concerns.
- Collaborates with physicians and the healthcare team, delegates care appropriately, provides leadership, and educates patients and families on treatment and discharge plans.
- Delivers compassionate, evidence-based care while ensuring compliance with nursing standards, infection control, HIPAA, pain management, and cultural sensitivity.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Active, current, and unencumbered Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
- One (1) year of critical care or completion of a 6-week critical care training course. MUST HAVE AT LEAST ONE YEAR OF RN EXPERIENCE
- Graduate of an Accredited Professional School of Nursing
- AHA Basic Life Support
- AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekend, and holidays
- Ability to maintain flexibility and composure in a constantly changing environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families
Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions
- This is a full-time position. Your schedule will be compromised of 3 12-hour shifts between the hours of 7 AM - 730 PM. Weekends are required at a rate of every other weekend.
- The hospital is located at 14662 Newport Ave, Tustin, CA 92780.
- The compensation pay range for this position is $43-$65/hr. Differentials are paid for nurses with their BSN.
