Hinds LifeCare, one of the most well-known and well-respected nonprofit agencies in California’s Central Valley and a pioneer in the practice of hospice and palliative care, is seeking an RN Float to join our team.
Our ideal candidate will be someone who is passionate about our mission. Someone who is driven to provide the best care to patients and families during those vulnerable and emotional final days, and someone who will carry that supportive care to families and loved ones left behind.
As a member of the Interdisciplinary Team, the RN Float is an experienced Registered Nurse who provides skilled palliative and end of life care in the community setting. The RN Case Manager Float is responsible for promoting the Hospice philosophy. This individual facilitates the development of a collaborative interdisciplinary plan and ensures the overall coordination, collaboration and medical management of hospice services for patients and their significant others.

Qualifications for this position include but are not limited to:
- Completed a professional nursing program accredited by the National League for Nursing (prefer completion of a baccalaureate program in nursing).
- One year experience in acute care facility or community health agency, (hospice experience a plus).
- Current RN Licensure and CPR Certification.
- Valid drivers license, auto insurance, reliable transportation and a willingness to use personal vehicle in the course of employment.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (i.e., Push, Pull, Lift/Carry 35 lbs.)
- Availability to rotate weekends.

Skills Required

Hinds Hospice (dba Hinds LifeCare) is a nonprofit hospice and palliative care provider serving Fresno, Madera, and Merced counties since 1981. The organization offers end-of-life medical care, a six‑bed hospice home, bereavement programs, specialized services (including veterans', pediatric and perinatal support), and community grief resources to uphold dignity and ease suffering for terminally ill patients and their families.
