Boone Memorial Health is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team. As an ED Nurse, you'll provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients experiencing a wide range of medical emergencies while working alongside an experienced team of physicians, advanced practice providers, and healthcare professionals.

• Assess, triage, and provide nursing care to patients presenting with emergency medical conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications and IV therapy, and respond quickly to changes in patient status.
• Assist with emergency procedures, diagnostic testing, and life-saving interventions.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Accurately document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes in the electronic health record.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient care environment while following all regulatory and organizational standards.
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic emergency setting.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, unrestricted West Virginia Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and clinical assessment skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred

• Emergency Department nursing experience.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.

Certification Requirements

The following certifications are required if not currently held:

• ACLS within six (6) months of hire.
• PALS within six (6) months of hire.
• TNCC within one (1) year of hire.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds using proper body mechanics.
