Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Endoscopy unit. We are looking for dynamic professional applicants who value customer service and a team mentality.
The Registered Professional Nurse is accountable for using the nursing process, delegating patient care tasks, supervision of other patient care staff, coordinating the care for a group of patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated.
The Registered Professional Nurse is accountable for using the nursing process, delegating patient care tasks, supervision of other patient care staff, coordinating the care for a group of patients, and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated. The Endoscopy Registered Nurse is responsible for the excellent care of the patient pre-, intra and post-procedure during endoscopy and/or pulmonary procedures. He/she also provides circulating and/or scrub services in the Endoscopy room during Gastrointestinal and Pulmonary procedures and assists the endoscopy team as needed in any other capacities, according to established procedures.
The shift will be determined by each hiring manager. The pay rate will be determined in accordance with the labor agreement.
Preferred Qualifications- AS/Diploma/Regency Degree required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Current RN license in WV required.
- Maintains CEUs for licensure.
- CPR required.
- PALS required (within one year).
- ACLS required (within one year).
- CGRN preferred.
- Specialty certification preferred.
- One year of Medical-Surgical experience required
- Prior Endoscopy experience preferred
- Advanced Therapeutic Endo experience preferred
Skills Required
- Associate degree, diploma, or Regency nursing degree
- Current Registered Nurse license in West Virginia
- Maintains continuing education units for licensure
- CPR certification
- PALS certification within one year
- ACLS certification within one year
- One year of medical-surgical nursing experience
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Certified Gastroenterology Registered Nurse certification
- Specialty certification
- Prior endoscopy experience
- Advanced therapeutic endoscopy experience
