The ER Nurse, under supervision of the Nurse Manager and the nursing supervisor is responsible for the nursing care of the patients in the emergency department and is responsible for the direction of patient care. The RN delivers care based on patient needs appropriate for the infant, pediatric, adolescent, adults, and geriatric patients. He/she demonstrates an interest in patient centered approach to total nursing care. Demonstrates cooperation, flexibility, and resourcefulness when dealing with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital personnel. The RN shall be responsible for planning, supervising and evaluating the nursing care of patients and for correlating the nursing process, the medical plan of care and policies.
Skills Required
- Deliver nursing care appropriate for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Plan, supervise, and evaluate nursing care and correlate with medical plan of care and policies
- Demonstrate cooperation, flexibility, and resourcefulness with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital personnel
- Work under supervision of the Nurse Manager and nursing supervisor
