RN-CLINIC OFFICE MGR | GI CLINIC

The RN-Clinic Office Manager is responsible for the general day to day operations of the clinic.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Approves and coordinates all ordering and receiving of medical supplies and medications.
2. Works to ensure that the patient flow is expedited timely and smoothly.
3. Advises the Director of Clinic Integration of any problems or changes that occur.
4. Documents and reports the clinic staffing needs to the Director of Clinic Integration.
5. Assists in working to resolve any patient complaints or problems.
6. Acts as coordinator between the purchasing department and the clinic.
7. Works with the Director of Clinic Integration and the Chief Operating Officer on improvements for the clinic.
8. Assists with the performance evaluations for clinic employees.
9. Acts as the liaison to communicate information to clinic staff from the Director of Clinic Integration or Chief Operating Officer.
10. Responsible for hiring and training of new employees.
11. Uses the AIDET principles with each patient encounter.
12. Demonstrates knowledge of the requirements of The Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies on a daily basis.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.

The required skills for this position include strong clinical assessment abilities, which will be utilized daily to evaluate patient health and develop care plans. Effective communication skills are essential for educating patients and collaborating with the healthcare team, ensuring that everyone is aligned on patient care strategies. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills will be employed to address any medical issues that arise promptly and effectively. Additionally, organizational skills are necessary for maintaining accurate patient records and managing multiple patient care tasks simultaneously. Preferred skills, such as proficiency in EHR systems, will enhance your ability to document and access patient information efficiently, contributing to streamlined care delivery.

Education and Licensure:

• Previous medical office and management experience preferred.   
• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Alabama.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent nursing degree.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or must obtain within 30 days of hire.
