Volunteer Description:
Unpaid volunteer contributing time to Intermountain Healthcare through playing the music in the North Lobby at Riverton Hospital.Riverton Hospital is seeking volunteer musicians - especially pianists or acoustic instrumentalists - to bring calm, joy, and comfort to our patients, visitors, and staff.
Riverton Hospital is seeking compassionate, talented volunteer musicians to share the gift of music with our patients, families, and staff. Whether it's soft piano melodies or gentle string or wind instrumental music in the lobby, your music can bring comfort, peace, and healing to those who need it most.
What You'll Do:
- Perform calming, appropriate music in the lobby of the hospital.
- Create a soothing and uplifting atmosphere through live instrumental music.
- Interact respectfully and professionally with patients, families, and staff.
- Follow hospital safety and infection control guidelines.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proficient in playing the piano or another acoustic instrument.
- Friendly, compassionate, and respectful in a healthcare setting.
- Able to commit to a regular volunteer schedule.
- Comfortable performing solo and adapting music to suit a hospital environment.

Requirements:
A consecutive 6-month commitment, which entails volunteering one day per week for 1 or 2 hours;
Passing a Background Check, Submit to a TB Test, and having an annual flu vaccine.
Must be 14 years or older.
Must be fully vaccinated.
Completion of hospital volunteer orientation.
Volunteers will be able to choose the day and time that works best with your schedule.
Qualified volunteers will receive an e-mail inviting them to a Volunteer Introduction/Orientation Meeting. Attending this meeting is mandatory toward becoming a volunteer.
