What you get to do:
· Responsible for conducting employee and guest accident investigations at SeaWorld, Aquatica and Discovery Cove.
· Ensure that the accident investigation database is updated and that accidents requiring investigation are completed within the assigned timeframe.
· Attend all safety meetings as required.
· Assists in the development of projects to be completed by the EHS / Risk Specialist Team.
· Other duties as assigned
What it takes to succeed:
· High School diploma or equivalent.
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Excel, Word, and Power Point).
· Certified or able to become certified in Safety department training programs (i.e., Intelex).
· Must have strong analytical aptitude, strong communication and organization skills, and the ability to handle multiple and varied tasks in a team environment
· Must be able to manage successfully in stressful situations, multitask, make quick decisions, troubleshoot problems, and adapt to changes in a fast-paced work environment
· Must have strong written and verbal communication skills; including the ability to present to large groups
· Ability to appropriately manage confidential and sensitive information.
· Physically able to walk extensive distances, climb/ascend heights, bend, and lift objects of various weights up to 25lbs. Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
· Ability to positively interact with park guests and co-workers of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or language, and individuals with special needs.
· Must be available to work varying shifts/hours based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays
What else is important:
· Must have a Valid driver's license
· Strong analytical aptitude, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple and varied tasks in a team environment.
· Must be flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities
· Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, and cold/heat temperature extremes Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals
Desired Qualifications:
· Maintains positive atmosphere which ensures the highest level of team member performance and guest service while enforcing and complying with safety procedures and guidelines
· Bilingual (preferred)
· Previous theme park experience (preferred)
· Guest Services experience (preferred)
