Job Description

RegCom has two regulated businesses: G10 Capital Limited and Sapia Partners LLP, both of which provide appointed representative and hosted AIFM services to a range of institutional clients. The main purpose of the role is to ensure that the risk management framework is effectively embedded across the business. This includes conducting risk assessments on serviced entities, identifying and reporting risk, and managing the annual ICARA (Internal Capital and Risk Assessment) process.

The IQ-EQ Group has a well developed risk function so it is important that all requirements are taken account of, and any specific enhancements are reflected in our own risk management documents. 

In particular: 

  • Responsible for the maintenance of the Firms’ ICARA documents 
  • Maintaining the risk register 
  • Reporting risks to Group Risk & Compliance via MetricStream 
  • Ensuring the Firms’ Risk Management Policies are kept up to date with regular refreshes, particularly to include any new requirements from Group 
  • Provide regular and accurate Risk Reports to the Board and Strategic Risk & Compliance Committee (SRCC) 
  • Inputting to the serviced entity risk assessments as part of the launch/onboarding process 
  • Liaise with colleagues from the Group Risk Function to ensure that RegCom is appropriately meeting the Group requirements including the provision of KRIs and other management information 

Key competencies 

  1. Good understanding of risk management methodologies and risk taxonomy 
  2. Excellent writing skills
  3. Ability to synthesise large amounts of data into dashboards or other reporting channels suitable for senior management fora 
  4. Effective relationship building with a wide variety of stakeholders 
  5. Delivers against targets on time and to a high level of quality 
  6. Pragmatic in applying risk management processes within a principal hosting firm environment 
  7. Able to educate other team members on approaches to risk management

Qualifications

Required experience 

  • Educated to degree level
  • Experience of managing risk processes at an FCA regulated firm, ideally with a funds focus, or at a consulting firm 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office 
  • Experience of using MetricStream or an equivalent risk reporting systems
