This is an excellent opportunity for a financial services professional with experience in risk, controls, governance, or management information reporting who can combine strong analytical and documentation skills with the ability to engage effectively across a wide range of stakeholders to support the implementation and embedding of risk management policies and standards.

The successful candidate will work closely with Risk and Compliance SMEs and business stakeholders to establish reporting standards, document reporting methodologies, enhance governance practices, and support the delivery of high-quality risk and control reporting in line with regulatory and internal requirements.

In the role, the successful candidate will:

  • Support the implementation and embedding of risk management policies, controls, governance requirements, and reporting frameworks.
  • Translate policy requirements into practical processes, controls, reporting obligations, and operating procedures.
  • Assess processes, controls, and reporting activities to identify gaps, remediation actions, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain risk and control documentation, reporting standards, templates, inventories, and governance artefacts.
  • Analyse reporting processes, data sources, and control effectiveness to enhance data quality, efficiency, and oversight.
  • Ensure reporting aligns with policy, and governance requirements and support control enhancement initiatives.

Process Improvement & Documentation

  • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting activities, improve operational efficiency, and reduce manual intervention.
  • Document and maintain reporting processes, controls, ownership, procedures, operating standards, and process maps.
  • Support the implementation of process, reporting, and control improvements to strengthen operational effectiveness.
  • Produce implementation and supporting documentation for new or enhanced processes, controls, and reporting requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with Risk, Compliance, and business SMEs to understand reporting requirements and support reporting and control enhancements.
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions to gather, validate, and document reporting and control requirements.
  • Build effective relationships across business functions to support delivery of risk reporting initiatives.
  • Prepare governance updates, management reports, presentations, and committee papers for senior stakeholders.
  • Support programme workstreams and project activities to ensure successful delivery of objectives.

About you

We are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills:

  • 3-8 years' experience within Financial Services, preferably within Risk, Compliance, Operational Risk, Controls, Governance, Reporting, or Risk Management functions.
  • Experience supporting risk reporting, management information (MI), governance, or control-related activities.
  • Experience documenting procedures, reporting methodologies, operating standards, and governance processes.
  • Excellent written communication, analytical, and documentation skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and documentation management tools.
