Seeking a talented and experienced Lead Specialist - Projects Risk Management/Risk Manager that will play a crucial role in identifying, assessing, and managing project risks throughout the project lifecycle to minimize potential impacts on project objectives and outcomes. He/She will be responsible for the overall project risk management function, providing leadership, integration and management of risk management processes to improve the consistency and efficiency of the Program/project’s delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments across projects, identifying potential risks and their implications and assessing the project, s risks and opportunities, developing cost effective mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Develop Detailed Risk Management Plan, risk register, project Risk reports, dashboards, and executive updates for senior management and all stakeholders.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and action plans to address identified risks, working closely with project teams to implement and monitor risk mitigation measures.
  • Provide risk management guidance and support to project Directors, Senior managers, and other stakeholders, including training, coaching, and facilitation of risk workshops and Risk review meetings.
  • Facilitate risk workshops to identify emerging risks, evaluate risk controls, and develop contingency plans as needed.
  • Monitor and review project risks regularly, updating risk registers, tracking risk treatment actions, and communicating risk status and trends to senior management and stakeholders.
  • To promote a risk-aware culture Provide training, coaching and mentorship and contributes to the continuous improvement of risk management processes, tools, and systems, collaborating with internal teams to enhance risk awareness and effectiveness.
  • Liaise with Government agencies and regulatory authorities and project stakeholders to ensure alignment of risk management practices and requirements with project objectives and contractual obligations.
  • Provides outreach oversight to the risk management program/Projects activities concerning day to day performance of the work scope.
  • Evaluate and quantify risks using quantitative techniques (e.g., Monte Carlo simulations) and give recommendations and monitor risk mitigation and contingency strategies to reduce impact on project cost, time, and quality.
  • Ensure that risk management practices comply with relevant industry standards and regulations and compliance with international risk management standards (e.g., ISO 31000)
  • Calculate Risk allowances and Contingency through Quantitative Schedule and cost Risk Analysis and coordinate with Planning, Project control and cost department for their allocation and management within baselines.
  •  Ensure schedule adherence and cost efficiency across all project phases and Support decision-making on technical, financial, and operational risks.
  • Perform other duties as requested by Senior Risk Manager and Management.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in risk management within relevant project scopes (construction, infrastructure, or mega projects).
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, Risk Management or related field
  • Strong understanding of risk management methodologies, tools, and international standards.
  • Proven experience working on large-scale or complex developments.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PMP-RMP, ISO 31000).
  • Saudi nationals are preferred.

Skills Required

  • 15 years of experience in risk management within relevant project scopes
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, Risk Management or related field
  • Strong understanding of risk management methodologies, tools, and international standards
  • Proven experience working on large-scale or complex developments
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PMP-RMP, ISO 31000)
