Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced, forward-thinker and senior-level Risk Manager to lead our regional EUAFME team for Global businesses within the Downstream Credit organization. This pivotal role involves managing material Downstream credit risk portfolio and leading a community of 45+ FTEs to maximize business profitability.
Differentiators will be:
Strategic Mindset: The role involves strategic planning and execution to align the credit risk function with the broader organizational goals, particularly in the context of evolving market conditions and regulatory landscapes.
Collaboration and Influence: ideal candidate possess strong collaboration skills, as will need to work closely with various stakeholders, including business units, business VPs and GM, IT, and senior management, to implement innovative risk solutions and handshake on risk appetite.
Energetic Leadership: Looking for candidates who demonstrate an energetic leadership style, capable of inspiring and motivating teams to embrace change and pursue continuous improvement in risk management practices.
Innovation and Transformation: the ideal candidate delivers through innovative thinking and the ability to drive transformation within the credit risk management domain. She/He is proactively approaching new technologies and methodologies to enhance risk assessment processes and strategies.
Main responsibilities:
Credit Strategy & Risk Management:

Formulate and oversee the execution of credit risk strategies for supported regional businesses, including definition of appropriate risk appetite.

Provide credit advice to assist businesses in complex, high-value, and high-risk situations and transformative journey towards sustainable energy and Net-Zero

Align with business on credit strategies (short and long term), ensuring transparency on risks versus rewards.
Stakeholder Engagement:

Act as business and finance partner for credit risk management and strategy.

Engage with key commercial and financial stakeholders to support business growth and optimize customer portfolios.

Maintain relationships with regional and global credit organizations to share best practices and collaborate effectively.
Leadership & Team Development:

Lead, develop, and evolve a high-performing, diverse, and inclusive team.

Upskill and future-skill team members in global best practices.

Foster an environment that empowers the team and recognizes their contributions.
Digital Transformation:

Implement digitalization initiatives through low-cost automation and data optimization.

Leverage digitalization to improve decision making and customer experience.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field (advanced degree preferred).

Proven experience in credit risk management, preferably within business with global footprint.

Strong analytical skills, negotiations skills and ability to balance risk and reward.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
