About your team
 

The Asia Risk team, part of Fidelity’s Global Risk Function, supports the growth of the business by cultivating an effective risk culture and ensuring that the risk framework is thoroughly embedded throughout the business through active engagement with business units, review, and challenge of the control environment, ensuring that risks are within the stated risk appetite, reporting of risks and risk indicators, and provision of training and education.

About your role
 

  • Provide risk management support to the Distribution, Investment Management and Operations functions in Asia Pacific by helping them to fully understand their risk profile and embed Enterprise Risk Management frameworks and systems
  • Drive the Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) program by providing guidance and challenge the business as appropriate
  • Identify, assess, and report emerging risks. Perform and support scenario exercises, e.g. for Group capital calculation (ICAAP) purposes or test operational resilience, as required
  • Support the coordination of major incidents and events and ensure appropriate escalation takes place and mitigation activities are actioned. Provide analytical commentary and insights including oversight and analysis of risk event reporting
  • Conduct risk-based reviews and provide assurance to the business, as required. Where control weaknesses or adverse customer journeys are identified, recommend and track mitigation actions
  • Provide meaningful and value-add risk reporting to Risk and Compliance Committees, Country Operating Committees, Business Risk forums and to senior management
  • Perform risk oversight to ensure the Operational Risk policy and framework requirements are met
  • Conduct active oversight of issues, events and build standardisation and consistency in the approach and outputs
  • Drive risk management training and education to increase risk awareness of good risk management practices in the business

About you

  • Risk or controls management experience in an asset management or financial services company
  • Strong focus on details, analytical and problem-solving skills
