Wawa Internship Program Overview
The Wawa Internship Program offers students hands-on experience in a collaborative corporate environment, where they work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to meaningful business projects, and build skills that support their academic and professional growth. Throughout the summer, interns participate in professional development and networking opportunities with fellow interns and company leaders. The program culminates in a capstone presentation, where interns showcase key projects, accomplishments, and the impact of their contributions.
We are currently seeking an intern to join our Risk Management team for Summer 2027.
What You'll Do
As a Risk & Insurance Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting Wawa's insurance and risk management functions. Depending on business needs and team assignments, you may have the opportunity to:
- Support insurance and risk management projects that help protect the business and support organizational growth.
- Assist with claims management, accounting activities, and insurance policy administration.
- Analyze data, maintain documentation, and support reporting related to risk and insurance programs.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to support project execution and operational initiatives.
- Contribute to process improvement efforts and strategic projects that enhance team effectiveness and business outcomes.
- Gain exposure to risk management, insurance operations, financial processes, and project management while working on meaningful business initiatives.

Basic Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between Spring 2028 and Spring 2030.
- Ability to work onsite at Wawa Corporate Headquarters in Media, PA, four days per week throughout the internship program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Previous internship, project, or leadership experience is preferred.
