Join the DB SAEU Risk team in Madrid as a Regulatory Expert within the Portfolio Management team.

Are you ready to make an impact at the intersection of finance, regulation, and risk management? We are seeking a talented and dynamic Regulatory Expert to join our team and contribute to the evolving landscape of financial and non-financial risk management.

As a key member of the team, you will report directly to the Head of Portfolio Management, where your expertise will drive the analysis and evaluation of regulatory requirements – particularly in credit risk and other financial and non-financial risk areas. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that DB SAEU meets the expectations of regulators, auditors, and Risk Management itself.

Responsibilities
 

  • Lead and contribute to key tasks and projects focused mainly but not exclusively on the analysis and implementation of regulatory requirements in the area of credit risk, while also engaging with broader financial and non-financial risks matters.
  • Serve as the primary coordinator and main point of contact for external and internal auditors, as well as regulators, ensuring smooth communication and efficient resolution of inquiries and requirements.
  • Effectively communicate and raise awareness of analytical results to both local and global Risk Management, while supporting various departments in the seamless  implementation of regulatory requirements across different processes.
  • Identify and drive initiatives aimed at enhancing risk processes and strengthening the control environment, with a focus on mitigating potential risks and ensuring proactive risk management.
  • Take part in both entity-wide and ad-hoc projects at the request of Risk Management within the area, closely collaborating with various departments across the Bank on both local and global initiatives.

Skills
 

  • We are seeking experienced professionals with deep expertise in financial sector regulations, particularly in credit risk and solvency-related frameworks. A strong understanding of Bank of Spain regulations, IFRS, CRR3 and EBAs guidelines is highly preferred .
  • We are looking for professionals with a background in Business Administration (ADE) or a related field,  with solid knowledge of risk parameters, especially in advanced risk models (IRBA) under CRR and Circular 4/2016 of the Bank of Spain.
  • You should be an experienced professional with a strong background in credit risk management, audit or consulting area specialized in credit risk management.
  • Flexible, proactive, results-driven professional with a strong focus on innovation.  Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask effectively, and a keen eye for identifying and evaluating processes, controls and risks.
  • A highly communicative professional with strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities in both Spanish and English. Capable of effectively engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
