Your Role

As a VP in the Non-Financial Risk & Controls Engineering Product Management team, you will lead product management strategy and execution across a portfolio of products and transformation initiatives. You will manage a team of product managers, partner with senior Risk, Compliance and Engineering stakeholders, and help translate business strategy into clear product roadmaps, delivery outcomes, and scalable technology solutions.

You will be responsible for setting direction, creating alignment, and ensuring product teams are focused on the highest-value business problems. This role requires a strong product management foundation, sound judgment, and the ability to manage both people and complex cross-functional execution.

Job Responsibilities

As a VP, you will:

  • Lead a team of product managers responsible for delivering products, platforms, and strategic initiatives.

  • Establish clear product strategy, roadmap, and prioritization in line with Engineering objectives and broader Divisional priorities.

  • Partner with project sponsors, product owners, senior business stakeholders, and engineering leads to define product vision, success measures, and execution plans.

  • Guide product managers through all stages of the product lifecycle, including user research, current-state assessment, requirements definition, delivery, change management, and post-launch monitoring.

  • Rationalize business and user requirements across products, programs, and stakeholder groups to deliver scalable solutions.

  • Challenge and shape business needs, technology requirements, and product design decisions to ensure solutions are practical, sustainable, and aligned to strategic objectives.

  • Drive decision-making across complex initiatives, including trade-off discussions, prioritization, dependency management, and escalation of delivery risks.

  • Partner with Engineering teams to remove roadblocks, manage delivery risks, and ensure functional requirements are translated into clear technical outcomes.

  • Maintain connectivity across the product portfolio to identify overlaps, dependencies, opportunities to simplify, and areas for reuse.

  • Coach, develop, and provide feedback to product managers, helping the team build strong product judgment, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills.

  • Promote a strong product management discipline across the team, including consistent standards for documentation, backlog management, stakeholder updates, and launch readiness.

  • Represent the product management team in senior forums, governance discussions, and cross-divisional planning sessions.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Technology, Risk Management, or a related field.

  • 15+ years of experience in product management, program management, strategy, transformation, risk management, or technology delivery.

  • Experience leveraging AI within product management and the broader software development lifecycle.

  • Experience managing people, developing talent, and leading teams through complex delivery environments.

  • Strong understanding of product management from strategy through execution, including functional design, delivery planning, testing, release readiness, adoption, and post-launch monitoring.

  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams without direct authority.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio of initiatives, balance competing priorities, and drive execution in a dynamic environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify technical or process-heavy content for non-technical audiences.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes, frame decisions, and build consensus.

  • Ability to work well in a global, multi-tasking environment and under pressure.

  • Adaptability and comfort operating with ambiguity.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in financial services, risk management, regulatory processes, data governance, or control frameworks.

  • Experience leading product teams that support enterprise platforms, workflow tools, data products, or AI-enabled capabilities.

  • Strong understanding of engineering delivery models, agile execution, product operations, and stakeholder governance.
