We’re looking for an experienced Risk and Compliance professional to join our Transformation and Customer Operations team, supporting Enterprise Fulfilment Operations across Mortgage Operations, Lending Service and Transaction Banking Services.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys partnering closely with the business, providing practical risk advice and strengthening operational risk, compliance and governance outcomes. Working within the first line of defence, you’ll support informed, risk-based decision making and help uplift risk culture across Transformation and Customer Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide operational risk, regulatory, compliance and conduct support across TCO, with a focus on Enterprise Fulfilment Operations.
Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to identify, assess and manage risk in day-to-day operations.
Support the business to navigate complex risk and compliance matters, including AML, Privacy, CCCFA and Business Continuity Planning.
Deliver effective risk governance through sub-business unit meetings and the TCO Risk Forum.
Actively manage the TCO Risk Profile to support informed, risk-based decision making by the TCO Leadership Team.
Lead incident, issue and action management activities, ensuring matters are logged and managed in line with policy requirements.
Undertake control testing, maintain risk registers and support a strong control environment across the business.
Work with teams on remediation activity, findings and continuous improvement opportunities.
Deliver risk-related training and help uplift risk culture and risk maturity across the TCO community.
Act as a key liaison between TCO teams and second line Operational Risk and Compliance teams.

We’re seeking a collaborative and pragmatic risk professional who understands how operational businesses work and can confidently engage with a broad range of stakeholders. You’ll be comfortable balancing risk, regulatory obligations and business outcomes, while bringing a practical and solutions-focused approach.
5+ years’ experience within financial services, ideally within banking.
Experience in operations, operational risk, compliance, assurance or risk advisory.
Strong understanding of financial services regulatory requirements and risk governance practices.
Proven stakeholder management skills, including the ability to build credibility with senior leaders and key business stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand the impact of decisions, including identifying risk and compliance concerns.
Ability to manage multiple priorities with efficiency, resilience and strong judgement.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
A tertiary qualification in Legal, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
Experience managing risk and risk performance in large scale, complex environments.
Experience supporting mortgage, lending, transaction banking or operational business areas.
