Wells Fargo is seeking a Risk Analytics Consultant (Assistant Vice President) which is an individual contributor role 2+ years of experience in credit risk analytics domain, primarily with Credit Cards and Loan products. Individuals in this role will work with strategy validation Team, Risk Business Team. Responsibility to design and develop Business rules/ Strategies in Decision system. Provide analytical input to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
The ideal candidate will be able to partner with the US team and India team to identify opportunities to optimize the existing process with zero defect leakage in assigned tasks. Additionally, should be able to understand business requirements for complex business rules.
In this role, you will:
- Participate in less complex analysis and modeling initiatives, and identify opportunity for process production, data reconciliation, and model documentation improvements within Risk Management
- Review and analyze programing models to extract data, and manipulate databases to provide statistical and financial modeling, and exercise independent judgment to guide new and existing projects with medium risk deliverables
- Coordinate and consolidate the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports for more experienced management
- Present recommendations for resolving data reconciliation, production, and database issues
- Exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in policy governance, risk projects, and regulatory requests
- Collaborate and consult with peers, managers, experienced managers, compliance, including various lines of business
- 2+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Strong hands-on experience with decision systems (Zoot, FICO DMP, Experian PowerCurve, TRIAD, SAS ID etc).
- Design and Develop Business rules for new Products/business rules/ strategies or BAU changes.
- Understand validation codes/ scripts in SAS/SQL, databases (like Teradata, Oracle).
- Basic knowledge of Type of testing like System integration, User acceptance and Regression testing.
- Ability to use Python for data analysis, automation, validation, and reporting activities supporting decision strategy implementation.
- Exposure to GenAI and Agentic AI use cases to identify automation opportunities and improve efficiency across analytics, testing, validation, and decisioning workflows.
- Understanding credit cards and personal loan lifecycle.
- Knowledge of credit risk strategies, segmentation, scorecards, and decisioning frameworks.
- Familiarity with unsecured lending policies and regulatory considerations.
- Knowledge and understanding of unsecure lending practices, policies, and procedures, ability to learn the business aspects quickly, multitask and prioritize between projects.
Job Expectations:
- Work on Decision systems like Zoot Webrule builder/ FICO DMP/ Experian Powercurve.
- Translate business requirements into decision engine logic, rule flows, strategy components, and implementation specifications.
- Develop Business rules in Decision systems using its components for unsecured lending life cycle processes like Acquisition/ Portfolio management/ Collections strategies.
- Basic understanding of decision systems interaction with other systems and involvement in end-to-end technical architecture for Credit card/ Personal loan.
- Actively participate in scrum ceremonies, team discussions. Support Teams to reach their goals.
- Ownership of project deployment in UAT and Production.
- Responsible for quick support and fix during production deployments. Deep dive into data and systems. Identify root cause for strategy decision's deviations.
- Be a Team Player and provide thought leadership on the projects, driving new ideas and identify opportunities.
- The candidate should be able to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment. Detail oriented, results driven, and could navigate in a quickly changing and high demand environment while balancing multiple priorities.
- Operates with a sense of urgency, particularly towards deadlines, audit, and deliverables.
- Demonstrates strong negotiation, communication & presentation skills with high degree of reliability, integrity and trustworthiness and should contribute to strategic decisions and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
- Collaborate, Coordinate and communicate with multiple stakeholders like Decision system development Team, Product Team, Scrum Team, Validation Team. Understand requirements and design and develop business rules in system.
