JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly motivated Risk Analyst to join our Credit/Finance team at CIIS. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring margin accounts, managing risk exposure, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and industry regulations. You will work closely with the trade desk, finance, and compliance teams to mitigate risk while providing excellent support to clients and internal stakeholders.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Monitor margin accounts on an intraday basis based on live values and instruct trade desk to liquidate positions or complete forced FX in a clients’ account if required.
- Process and Approve Client Cash Withdrawal Requests.
- Maintain up to date Reports of Bad Debt Clients and involve Compliance and Legal to follow up.
- Monitor and review of Margin accounts. Distribution of Margin Calls to Retail and Institutional Clients.
- Respond to the queries of the client by email and answer to all the tickets logged by clients on Credit related queries.
- Respond to any query related to risk by any internal department.
- Answer escalated calls of client pertaining to Credit.
- Review and Report Total Margin and Unsecured Debits to Finance on a Daily basis.
- Set up reimbursements to clients for interest and risk exposure fee as per the debt agreement and other special agreements.
- Responsible to review the trades and add margin / cash for trade desk
- Responsible for monthly review of US Optionable securities to ensure risk engine is up to date.
- Responsible for Monthly Stale Procedures
- Complete Second check of Account Opening when required.
- Responsible to manually update Mutual Fund Margin on a Daily basis as it takes an additional day to reflect on Pario.
- Responsible to ensure that data of indebt accounts are deactivated and accounts are not charged.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Minimum two years of experience in Risk Management required; investment industry an asset
- Bachelor’s or equivalent degree required
- Proficient with MS Office applications, particularly with Excel and Word.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet strict deadlines.
