Context
The Management Company of a prestigious French-English group, specializing in both liquid and illiquid assets (including Private Equity, Private Debt, and Private Equity Fund of Funds), is seeking a Risk Analyst Trainee to join its Permanent Risk Management Function. Based in Luxembourg, this 6-month internship offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic, international organization and gain valuable experience in the asset management industry.
Your Responsibilities
As a Risk Analyst Trainee, you will contribute to key projects within the Risk Management Function, under the supervision of the Head of Risk. Your responsibilities will include:

Enhancing the Climate Value at Risk (Climate VaR) framework,

Designing and implementing a sustainability stress testing program,

Assisting in defining the risk appetite and corresponding risk limits,

Monitoring ESG commitments of the funds,

Drafting operational processes.
The Risk Analyst will also be required to collaborate with various departments within the Management Company, including the Compliance Department, the ESG team, and the Investment Managers.
Your Profile
Education:
-
Final year of a master’s degree in risk management, Mathematics, Financial Markets, or a related field.
Experience:
-
A first experience (internship or project) in a Risk Management department or within asset management is a plus.
Technical Skills:
-
Strong proficiency in Excel and Access, with coding skills in VBA.

Familiarity with risk management tools (e.g., Bloomberg, RiskMetrics) is a plus.

Interest in ESG and sustainability-related risks is an advantage.
Soft Skills:
-
Excellent analytical and synthesis skills, with a proactive and curious mindset.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in French and English.

Highly collaborative and able to work effectively in a multicultural, international environment.
