Job Summary
Risk professional to be appointed as a Risk Analyst for IBD Pan Africa. Suited to a degreed individual with 5 years operational and or risk experience in an Investment Banking environment. Deep understanding of IB products coupled with strong control assurance experience within a Pan African financial services environment. Must have the ability to navigate efficiently in a matrix organisational structure with multiple stakeholders.
Job Description
- Risk Identification: Guide IBD front office and support functions in identifying current and emerging material inherent operational risk exposures.
- Analyze, review and load risk events, assist business in ensuring remediation strategies will mitigate the risks
- Capture assurance results in assurance systems including ORMS
- Control Assessment: Perform design and operational effectiveness assessments through assurance and assist in meeting the annual assurance plan targets
- Evaluation: Facilitate the rigorous assessment of the effectiveness of process checks and system controls in place to mitigate the material inherent risks identified.
- Control Environment remediation: Advise on the effectiveness of existing controls as well as the design and implementation of new controls required to sufficiently mitigate material gaps.
- Risk Profile Monitoring: Lead in the monitoring and compilation of the IBD Risk Profile by partnering with risk teams from other control areas that impact IBD as well as with 2nd-line Operational Risk.
- Reporting: Consolidate reports to highlight issues, trends, remediation, testing outcomes and feed into the various CIB governance committees
Education
Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
