- Partner Credit Service UK (PCS UK) is an online Commercial Finance Broker. Working with a large panel of lenders, we facilitate funding for Small Businesses. We operate under the brand ‘Funding Options by Tide’. Funding Options has been part of Tide since 2023.
- The Sales Teams within PCS UK deal with lead flow (applications) from small businesses across the UK who are looking for finance, via multiple acquisition channels. They engage with customers, understand their needs and then work with our panel of lenders to source lending solutions for them
- This role is for a Risk Advisory Manager to manage and monitor key regulatory and commercial risks within the Sales function
- The role reports into the Sales Performance Lead. The Sales Performance Lead is responsible for ensuring that the sales team operates to a high standard (that of a high performing sales organisation) across KPIs and KRIs.

PCS UK is a growing team and this is a brand new role that reflects the point of growth we have reached. We now require a dedicated risk specialist to support the business in identifying and understanding key risks as part of day-to-day operations, helping teams make informed decisions as we continue to scale.
As a Risk Advisory Manager, you will act as an embedded risk adviser within the business, supporting Partner Credit Services teams in applying relevant elements of the Operational Risk Framework in practice across Regulatory and Commercial risk areas.
You will work closely with Product, Sales, and Operations to help translate policies, standards, and risk requirements set by Tide’s 2LoD Risk & Compliance teams into practical, workable processes, supporting consistent and effective implementation across the business.
This role sits within the business, i.e. 1LoD, and focuses on advising, enabling, and supporting teams in understanding regulatory risks and compliance expectations as part of product design and day-to-day delivery, helping ensure these are considered early and applied effectively in practice.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING- Support the UK Sales Team in understanding and applying internal policies and risk frameworks in their day-to-day activities, providing guidance on how requirements should be implemented in practice.
- Work closely with PCS UK leadership to support understanding of key controls, including control design and implementation within the business.
- Support the tracking and interpretation of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), helping business teams understand trends, drivers, and required actions.
- Support quality assurance activities, including call reviews, to help identify conduct, regulatory, or process improvement opportunities.
- Partner with the Sales Performance Lead and Operations Lead to support the implementation of an AI-based call analysis system, providing input on risk considerations.
- Monthly reporting to the PCS UK Leadership
- Support the execution of activities led by the 2LoD Risk & Compliance team by coordinating 1LoD business inputs, helping track actions, and supporting follow-up where required.
- Support the business in understanding policy updates and refresh cycles, helping teams implement changes and embed updated requirements into processes.
- Liaison point for our partners with oversight requests.
- Support the identification and documentation of regulatory risks, providing input to risk assessments to ensure they accurately reflect business activities and controls.
- Support audit activities by coordinating business inputs, helping teams understand findings, and assisting with the implementation of agreed remediation actions.
- You have a minimum of 5 years of work experience in a Compliance / Risk / Operational Risk, working closely with front-line business teams.
- Knowledge of Small Business Finance would be great but not essential
- Strong financial analysis skills
- Experience of Salesforce (or similar workflow based CRM system) highly desired
- Experience acting as a trusted risk adviser to business teams, supporting the interpretation of requirements, use of KRIs, and practical implementation of controls
- If you are familiar with Credit Broking regulations and guidelines within the UK financial services environment that is a plus, but not essential
- Preferable if you have prior experience working in a Banking, FinTech, Payments/E-money Firms, or Consultancy organisation
- Good research skills
- Data driven, i.e. ability/interest to develop and improve current tools and reports we use within a business
- You are able to work independently with a high degree of autonomy as well as collaboratively with other stakeholders
- You are proactive with a can-do attitude, taking ownership of resolving issues.
- You have exceptional organisational skills with a proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- You have meticulous attention to detail with strong drafting and analytical skills
