Anakeesta is seeking Ride Operations Supervisors to work at Anakeesta's coasters, ensuring the safety of guests and employees at the Anakeesta mountain coasters.  This position oversees coaster operations, safety procedures, scheduling, and training of employees. 


Responsibilities 

  • Training and development, scheduling, accountability, and general efficiency and logistics of all of the team members within the department 

  • Monitor all incoming applications to make sure interviews are set up and conducted in a timely manner 

  • Review and publish schedules to make sure the department is staffed properly. 

  • Ensure that all operators are working in compliance with company procedures. 

  • Supervises the safe and efficient loading and unloading of all guests.  

  • Monitor all inventories  

  • Train staff on company policies, procedures, and standards 

  • Ensure safety while loading and unloading by watching guests closely at all times. 

  • Counsel staff  

  • Monitor expenses and labor to meet or fall below budget allocations. 

  • Certification for operating the coasters. 

  • Maintaining a complete overall awareness of operating areas to certify the safety of guests and employees alike while ensuring efficiency is maintained 

  • Assisting in the daily set-up and shut-down procedures of the coaster and operating areas. 

  • Monitor weather conditions and work with coaster maintenance on weather protocols. 

  • Monitor the completion of daily logs and checklists. 

  • Monitor the operation of the coasters continuously and notify the Coaster Maintenance team and on-duty management team if unusual conditions occur. 

  • Record information and complete incident injury reports for both guests and staff.  

  • Help with scanning of tickets when needed. 

  • Complete all required paperwork legibly and in a timely manner. 

  • Complete job performance reviews  

  • Assist in the recovery of lost or dropped items along the track and lift line and daily trash pickup 

  • Ensure work areas are clean  

  • Always maintain a professional, friendly, and positive attitude  

  • Assist in other areas of the park as needed 

  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications
  • 18 years of age or older 

  • Previous supervisory experience 

  • Strong computer skills preferred. 

  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment, have a sense of urgency to complete projects and be detail oriented  

  • Professional, friendly, and a positive-solution oriented attitude  

  • Experience in training, development, and counseling 

  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and guests both written and verbally. 

  • Ability to keep a calm, level thought process in all situations. 

  • Leadership, problem solving, organizational and communication skills.  

  • Serious minded when it comes to safety. Implementation and accountability regarding following all safety rules/procedures. 

  • Able to stand for the entire day. 

  • Enjoy working outdoor in all weather conditions including but not limited to snow, extreme cold and heat, and wind. 

  • Available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays 


Physical Requirements 

  • Able to lift 25-50 lbs.; can push, pull, grasp, lift, kneel, stoop, climb, balance, crouch, crawl and stand for long periods of time. 

  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
