Boston Medical Center South, a member of the Boston Medical Center Health System, is seeking a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible Rheumatologist to join our growing Department of Medicine. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative physician with excellent clinical skills, a commitment to patient-centered care, and a passion for serving a diverse community.
This is an outstanding opportunity to build and expand rheumatology services within a well-established multispecialty network serving Brockton and the surrounding South Shore region. The rheumatologist will work closely with primary care providers and specialists across the health system, including orthopedics, neurology, neurosurgery, pain management, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and physical and occupational therapy.
The position offers the opportunity to practice in a supportive environment with strong ties to the Division of Rheumatology at Boston Medical Center’s academic medical center in Boston, providing access to subspecialty expertise, teaching opportunities, and research collaboration as desired.
Faculty appointment opportunities through Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine may be available based on qualifications and academic interests.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of rheumatologic and autoimmune conditions.
- Provide comprehensive outpatient rheumatology care in Brockton and surrounding communities.
- Collaborate with primary care physicians and specialty providers to coordinate patient care.
- Partner with pharmacists and other members of the interdisciplinary care team to optimize medication management, monitor treatment response, and support patient adherence.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical program development, and care pathway optimization.
- Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and advanced practice providers as desired.
- Contribute to the continued growth and development of rheumatology services within the Boston Medical Center Health System.
- MD or DO degree required.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency and Rheumatology fellowship.
- Eligible for medical licensure in Massachusetts.

Compensation range: $255,004 - $300,000
The base salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to clinical FTE, qualifications, experience, education, board certifications, specialty, training, and scope of practice. The above hiring range represents a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Any eligible incentive compensation is not included in the above compensation range and will be discussed during the interview process.
