- Own RF link performance across UAV platforms (airborne and ground segments)
- Perform complete link budget calculations (FSPL, fade margin, cable losses, antenna gain, polarization losses, etc.)
- Evaluate and shortlist radios, antennas, RF cables, connectors, and amplifiers
- Optimize antenna placement considering airframe effects, multipath, shadowing, and BVLOS constraints
- Conduct RF performance validation through field testing and lab measurements
- Analyze RSSI, SNR, noise floor, interference sources, and spectrum occupancy
- Define RF qualification test plans (range testing, EMI/EMC considerations, environmental validation)
- Troubleshoot communication failures in operational environments
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics/Telecommunication Engineering or related field.
- Strong understanding of electromagnetics, RF propagation, antenna theory and digital signal processing
- Experience in communication protocols
- Working knowledge of test equipment to measure RF performance
- Project planning and reporting
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
- Problem solving skills, analytical mindset, attention to detail
- Ability to self-manage and manage small teams
Skills Required
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics/Telecommunication Engineering or related field
