About the Role

Location: Parramatta or Chatswood, NSW, Australia
Reporting to: Program Manager RIC

ServiceStream is seeking an experienced RF Performance Engineer to support the delivery of large-scale mobile network upgrade and rollout programs. This role plays a critical part in end-to-end RF performance assurance, post-integration optimisation, and ensuring network quality meets SLA and customer acceptance standards.

You will work across multi-vendor RAN environments, collaborating closely with internal delivery teams, optimisation engineers, vendors, and the client to achieve RFI–RFS milestones, performance targets, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own RF performance assurance activities across the project lifecycle, from logbook creation and PTW through to post-integration KPI monitoring and final site acceptance
  • Coordinate and schedule RF performance and optimisation activities in line with project delivery forecasts
  • Monitor and optimise RAN KPIs to ensure network performance, quality, and customer SLAs are consistently met
  • Oversee post-upgrade performance, ensuring RFI–RFS gaps are maintained within forecast targets
  • Supervise and mentor RF optimisation engineers, providing technical guidance on diagnostics, root cause analysis, and resolution
  • Review and implement Methods of Procedure (MOPs) and new network features in line with customer (Optus) strategy and baselines
  • Prepare scripts, plans, and optimisation tools to support feature rollout and complex configuration changes
  • Ensure EME and ACMA compliance prior to declaring sites in service
  • Manage HOP submissions and ensure all technical and regulatory requirements are satisfied
  • Produce performance reports, dashboards, and presentations for customers and internal stakeholders
  • Act as a key technical interface with the client, vendors, and internal teams on RF performance matters

Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years’ experience in RF performance assurance, optimisation, or RF planning
  • Hands-on experience with Huawei, Ericsson, and Nokia RAN environments
  • Strong understanding of multi-vendor OSS platforms
  • Proven capability in analysing large performance datasets and driving optimisation outcomes
  • In-depth knowledge of RAN KPIs, troubleshooting workflows, and optimisation levers
  • Experience working within mobile network upgrade or rollout projects
  • Knowledge of EME and ACMA regulatory compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in report automation and tool development using Excel VBA, Python, SQL, or similar
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging directly with customers
  • High attention to safety, quality, and delivery discipline
