Milwaukee Electronics is seeking a skilled Rework Specialist with strong soldering experience to join our high-performing team. If you have a sharp eye for quality, experience in electronics assembly, and enjoy working in a collaborative environment, we want to hear from you!
Work just 3 nights a week, and enjoy a 4-day weekend every week!
This position follows a Thursday through Saturday, 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM swing shift schedule.
You’ll work full-time hours in just 3 days, giving you 4 consecutive days off each week to recharge, focus on personal priorities, or simply enjoy more balance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Perform hand assembly, mechanical assembly, and soldering per work instructions
- Solder to IPC Class 2 and Class 3 workmanship standards (J-STD-001)
- Inspect and rework SMT and through-hole components to meet customer requirements
- Follow quality policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Meet daily efficiency and utilization goals
- Actively participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
- Train others to A1 or A2 classification as needed
- Operate in Epicor for inventory transactions
- Serve as backup Team Leader when needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the electronics industry
- Experience in electronics manufacturing, rework, or repair.
- Hands-on experience with SMT and through-hole assemblies.
- Familiarity with IPC standards, including:
- J-STD-001 (Soldering)
- IPC-A-610 (Workmanship)
- IPC-7711/7721 (Rework and repair)
- Experience using rework tools such as soldering irons, hot air rework stations, microscopes, or BGA rework equipment.
- Experience training or supporting others to IPC A1 or A2 levels.
- Experience with ERP systems (Epicor a plus).
- Willingness to learn advanced rework processes, including BGA rework (Scorpion station).
- Ability to read and understand work instructions in English
- Familiar with performance metrics and basic math
- Able to pass the Milwaukee Electronics Component ID test and IPC Workmanship exam

- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
