The PositionAs a Reward Partner – Compensation, you will work closely with business leaders and People & Culture (P&C) partners to shape fair, competitive, and future-ready reward solutions across the UK & Ireland. You will bring the strategic direction of the People Reward & Recognition (PR&R) chapter to life locally, ensuring our reward practices support both business priorities and employee experience.
Acting as a trusted expert on UK & Ireland reward markets, legislation, and best practice, you will help ensure employees are rewarded equitably and transparently, in line with Roche’s global frameworks. Through continuous improvement and programme development, your work will directly support engagement, retention, and our commitment to putting patients first.
You will join a collaborative, international PR&R community, working with a OneRoche mindset. As trusted advisors, we partner with leaders across divisions to shape a workplace where people feel valued, recognised, and motivated to do their best work.
Responsibilities | What you can expectStrategic reward expertise
Design and deliver compensation solutions for the UK & Ireland aligned to global reward strategy, local market practice, and regulatory requirements (e.g. base pay, annual review cycles, off-cycle increases, variable pay, equity programmes, and benchmarking).
Trusted advisor to the business
Partner with business leaders and P&C Business Partners on complex reward topics, providing clear, confident guidance and balanced recommendations.
Enterprise and employee perspective
Support the communication and understanding of reward programmes as part of Roche’s Employee Value Proposition, including education and upskilling for People Leaders on reward principles and decision-making.
Shaping the future of rewards
Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the Compensation Area of Practice through projects, squads, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, clarity, and sustainability.
Strong grounding in global reward principles with hands-on understanding of UK & Ireland compensation practices, legislation, and governance.
Broad knowledge of enterprise compensation programmes and the ability to translate complex policy into practical, business-ready guidance.
Confidence in consulting, influencing, and educating stakeholders on topics such as market competitiveness, internal and external equity, and incentive eligibility.
