Job Description:
Permian Resources is seeking an experienced oil and gas Revenue Accounting Supervisor to lead revenue accounting team members, focusing on upstream oil and gas assets in Texas. This role will implement best practices and maintain regulatory compliance, overseeing revenue accounting processes to ensure accurate and timely recording, analysis, and reporting of oil and gas revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Train, develop, and supervise revenue staff
- Review monthly revenue actuals and PPAs for operated and non-operated properties, posting related journal entries
- Review monthly account reconciliations and analysis
- Review and assist with monthly compliance preparation and filings
- Process monthly check-write process
- Provide technical support and advice based on expertise and industry experience
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, marketing and division orders to facilitate efficient communication and ensure data integrity
- Maintain SOX controls, policies, and procedures
Requirements:
- 10 years of relevant industry experience, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience
- Expertise in Accounting software, Quorum experience a plus
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Spotfire, Carte and Databricks
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and translate large data sets to facilitate process improvement
- Ability to work in a fast paced and fluid environment, meeting required deadlines
- Flexible with the demands of a growing environment
- Exceptional communication skills to facilitate team building and engagement, confidently presenting and executing ideas
