Your Role

SolarWinds is currently hiring a Revenue Operations Intern for our headquarters in Austin, Texas office. This Internship role is best suited to someone with an analytical mindset, strong technical writing skills, and likely to be studying in the fields of Business and Management, Business Information Systems, Project Management, or IT. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to work in a team as well as independently.

The selected candidate will develop the skills to

  • Examine business functions such as automation, integration, workflow management, and reporting to analyze operational performance and develop strategic insights for business management.
  • Align business operations to establish predictable revenue across sales, marketing, and customer success by optimizing systems and processes.
  • Work with analysts and data engineers to learn fundamentals of measuring key performance indicators and business metrics.

Your Impact

  • Develop the necessary skills to learn a consultative approach to understanding business cadence, Key Performance Parameters, and gain opportunities to work with CRM Tools (Salesforce, NetSuite, Outreach) and with relational databases (Tableau, SQL).
  • Collaborate with Revenue Operations analysts, project managers, marketing managers and business stakeholders to understand and translate data analysis into sales actions.
  • Learn foundational elements of Sales enablement and training on CRM and other systems
  • Work diligently to streamline and support business processes in collaboration with sales, services, and channel functions
  • Conduct root cause identification, gap analysis, and business process reengineering.
  • Establish cross-organizational relationships with data analysts, sales management and business applications to support decision-makers and identify opportunities to support SolarWinds product sales and services.
  • Partner with sales engineering to conduct technical problem solving and technical online web product demonstrations.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and activity and pipeline reports within Salesforce.
  • Create and maintain documentation for sales processes and best practices.

Your Experience

  • Undergraduate engaged in a Business Program, or STEM degree program with a minimum minor in Business Information Systems, Economics, Analytics, Data Science or Computer Science.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong time management ability.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with multiple areas of the company.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, under pressure, and with a high degree of professionalism delivering high-quality results on time.
  • Proficient in MS Office 365, and willingness to learn internal systems and other technical tools.

We work in hybrid mode 3+2, a minimum of 3 days at the office with mandatory Tuesdays and Wednesdays and a maximum of 2 days remote per week.
