Role Overview:
As a Revenue Operations Accountant at Varian, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our financial operations. Implements controls and evaluates actions required for compliance with the company’s revenue recognition accounting process, including the bookings and billings process. Performs regular and special analysis (such as reviews of organizational billing practices) to ensure invoice accuracy and proper revenue recognition. Analyzes third party payments and verifies compliance with contractual terms, fee schedules, or other formal agreements. Completes all required month-end close activities including revenue reconciliation and management reporting. Works with legal and sales personnel in reviewing revenue contracts to ensure adherence to company policies and resolves any revenue issues. Follows control procedures and interacts with audit or other functions in the approval of product discount pricing, vendor-specific objective evidence studies and significance analysis to ensure compliance with company policy and proper revenue recording.

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving Excellence: Lead the charge in improving, harmonizing, standardizing, and ensuring compliance and accuracy in key accounting processes within the region.
• Championing Innovation: Drive the implementation of new processes and changes within the region.
• Guiding the Way: As a key working partner of business teams & other finance teams, to provide accounting guidance in terms of revenue recognition for new deals/new business models/new business projects. Partnering with the regional teams, to define & perform necessary before- and-after- fact reviews & checks to ensure the revenue booking quality
• Expert Counsel: To monitor the GAAP updates & changes in terms of revenue recognition and ensure the regional teams are well communicated and trained as needed
• Ensuring Accuracy: Perform controls over reported financials during month-end close, initiate corrections with local accounting teams, and prepare related documentation.
• Precision Review: To be responsible for contract and order reviews
• Audit Excellence: Ensure local revenue recognition policies and procedures are consistent with the Varian global standards; Overall owner of SOX Controls on Revenue Recognition, to ensure the control documents are refreshed & updated, and support the audits as well as external audits as needed
• Hybrid role

Education and Experience Level:

*Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related fields with minimum two-year work experience.

The base pay range for this position is

Min $100,600 - Max $150,900

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Siemens Healthineers offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay.
