Purpose
The Principal Analyst, Pricing & Revenue Management serves as a subject matter expert in pricing analytics, driving data-driven decision-making and supporting the development and execution of pricing strategies across the organization. This role leverages advanced analytical techniques to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize pricing decisions to maximize profitability and achieve business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advanced pricing analytics solutions to support key business decisions, including price optimization, product assortment, and customer segmentation.
- Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify pricing opportunities and assess competitive threats.
- Analyze pricing data, identify trends, and develop predictive models to forecast demand and optimize pricing strategies.
- Project Leadership:
- Lead and manage complex pricing analytics projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, manage timelines, and ensure successful project execution.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Develop and maintain sophisticated reports, dashboards, and visualizations to track key pricing metrics and monitor pricing performance.
- Analyze large datasets, identify trends, and communicate insights to senior leadership in a clear and concise manner.
- Innovation & Technology:
- Explore and implement new technologies and methodologies to enhance pricing analytics capabilities, such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, and predictive modeling.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Merchandising) to share insights, support decision-making, and drive successful business outcomes.
- Mentorship & Guidance:
Skills
- Data Science: Proficiency in data science tools and technologies, including SQL, Python, R, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically, identify emerging trends, and anticipate future market needs.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex data insights to senior leadership.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Certifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in related discipline or an additional 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
