This is a remote role. Monday-Friday business hours. Currently, Advocate may approve remote workers who reside in the following registered states: AL, AK, AR, AZ, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, LA, KS, KY, ME, MI, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WI, WV, WY.
Analyzes, designs, and implements standardized revenue cycle workflows and processes for Advocate Health in conjunction with operational and IT stakeholders. Investigates, troubleshoots, and recommends process changes required to ensure standardization of revenue cycle processes. Identifies and implements best practices and process improvements, and communicates changes to all impacted teammates, including leaders.
Major Responsibilities:
- In conjunction with operational and IT stakeholders, analyzes, develops, and recommends strategies to standardize processes related to revenue cycle functions in Epic and other EHRs and integrated software applications.
- Researches, designs and recommends process improvements to drive revenue cycle best practices. Works in conjunction with operational and IT stakeholders to identify, evaluate, analyze, and develop integrated solutions for the standardization of revenue cycle activities.
- Contributes to a single source repository of all processes and adheres to an agreed-upon methodology for drafting, revising, and approving policies and procedures. Adheres to the agreed-upon methodology for the periodic review and certification of these processes.
- Oversees the workflow communication plan for impacted teammates.
- Partners with other teams within Revenue Cycle Informatics, including Registration Quality to ensure their monitoring processes are effective and accurate as needed, and acts as subject matter expert on documented workflows for Revenue Cycle Training and Revenue Cycle Support to assist those activities.
- Analyzes system or process issues, recommends changes, and provides consultation to leaders in implementing the standardized processes and changes within their work units.
- Partners with Compliance, Internal Audit, and external audit agencies to assist with organizational oversight initiatives, as needed.
- Partners with IT to review changes related to Epic Upgrades and other major projects to ensure system configuration supports best practice workflows across the Revenue Cycle and that impacted teammates are informed of and prepared for system changes.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- Epic Cadence certification issued by Epic, or
- Epic Grand Central certification issued by Epic., or
- Epic Prelude certification issued by Epic., or
- Epic Resolute Hospital Billing Administration including Single Billing Office certification issued by Epic., or
- Epic Resolute Professional Billing Administration for Single Billing Office certification issued by Epic
Education Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
Experience Required:
- Typically requires 5 years of experience in an applicable area of Revenue Cycle, as well as experience in workflow and process design and/or process management.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Revenue cycle knowledge with an emphasis on the area of focus for the given opening.
- High level of expertise in creating, organizing, maintaining and implementing improvements to support Revenue Cycle operations.
- Excellent assessment and documentation skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills and experience managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in cross functional leadership and team facilitation. Ability to lead meetings, manage differences of opinions and adjudicate conflicting views.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), or similar products. Ability to learn and proficiently use other applications.
- Proficiency in Epic’s UserWeb tools including NOVA and Galaxy
- Proficiency in ServiceNow’s support ticket tool
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- This position will require travel so will be exposed to weather and road conditions.
- Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
- Exposed to a normal office environment.
