Position Summary:
The Revenue Cycle Director is defined as all administrative and clinical functions that contribute to the capture, management, and collection of patient service revenue. The Revenue Cycle Director is responsible for enhancing and maintaining a properly functioning revenue cycle process through a cross-departmental structure. These functional areas act interdependently during a patient visit, contributing to the clinical information required to procure payment for the clinical service. Functional areas reporting to this position are:
- Hospital billing
- ECS billing
- Registration
- Central Scheduling
- Coding
- Medical Records
What the Revenue Cycle Director will need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related subject or equivalent experience. HFMA Certification a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years management experience and 7 years experience in health care billing.
- Demonstrated skill in communication, both written and spoken.
