The Role

The Revenue Controller oversees the full revenue cycle for the US and Canada entities, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely revenue recognition and reporting in accordance with US GAAP and internal policies. This role carries meaningful ownership over revenue accounting methodology, internal controls, and cross-functional partnerships, while also playing an active role in driving process improvements and supporting the broader finance organization. Reporting to the Regional Controller, the Revenue Controller is expected to operate with a strong degree of independence and bring both technical depth and sound business judgment to complex revenue matters.

What you’ll do

  • Own revenue recognition for the US and Canada region, including accounting methodology, key judgments, and ongoing compliance with US GAAP (ASC 606) and internal policies

  • Lead revenue analysis and trend reporting; proactively identify and investigate anomalies, conduct root cause analysis, and communicate findings to finance leadership

  • Supervise and develop the Revenue Advisory Lead, providing day-to-day guidance, coaching, and performance support

  • Partner closely with business on revenue related topics to influence business decisions

  • Own revenue-related audit deliverables and play key role in external audits on revenue topics, including preparation of technical accounting positions where needed

  • Improve and maintain the internal controls framework over revenue processes, including documentation and remediation of control gaps

  • Collaborate with regional counterparts to align revenue recognition practices and policies across the organization

  • Identify and lead process improvement and automation initiatives across the revenue cycle, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and scalability

  • Support the development and consistent application of revenue accounting policies across the business

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience with solid technical grounding in revenue recognition

  • Strong working knowledge of ASC 606 and US GAAP; ability to independently research and document technical accounting positions

  • Experience in complex revenue environments involving multiple performance obligations, project accounting, subscription models, or other ASC 606 judgment areas preferred.

  • Proven experience managing or mentoring direct reports

  • Familiarity with internal controls frameworks and hands-on experience in control design or documentation

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights for finance and non-finance audiences

  • Effective communicator and cross-functional collaborator, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders

  • Self-motivated and able to manage competing priorities with a high degree of ownership
