Job Description
The Revenue Auditor I is responsible for performing daily audits of casino and food & beverage revenue, ensuring transactions and accounts are accurate, balanced, and properly documented. This position supports the Finance Department by maintaining accurate financial records, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable gaming regulations.
Job Requirements
- Perform daily audits of Table Games, Slots, Food & Beverage, Cage, Keno, and Kiosks.
- Track and maintain pertinent financial and operational information for the casino.
- Reconcile audit accounts and ensure all transactions and balances are accurate.
- Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Assist the Finance Department with additional accounting and auditing duties as needed.
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling financial, employee, guest, and other sensitive information.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, internal controls, and applicable gaming regulations.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with guests, team members, vendors, and other business partners.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Previous accounting or auditing experience is required.
- Knowledge of gaming MICS (Minimum Internal Control Standards) preferred.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with the ability to accurately verify and reconcile transactions.
- Knowledge of applicable tax practices, including IRS levies, check garnishments, sales and use tax, and related requirements.
- Ability to prepare detailed, concise, and accurate reports, correspondence, policies, and procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, and email.
- Ability to learn and become proficient in additional accounting, gaming, and company-specific software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Ability to respond promptly and professionally to inquiries, complaints, and requests from internal and external parties.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Weekend availability is required.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment and random drug screening.
- Must successfully pass an Accounting and Microsoft Excel assessment.
