DESCRIPTION: Responsible for the auditing and/or recording of all contents of revenues at our Arapaho First locations. Perform other functions of finance which include accounts payable, general journal entries, exam, verify and reconcile GL account.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following is a list of the main duties/responsibilities: other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary.
- Conducts audits and maintains records in accordance with internal policies.
- Conducts audits for compliance with industry regulations, and tax laws.
- Prepares and enters new vendors, audits, into the Sage Intacct system.
- Prepares exception reports for instances on non-compliance with operational practices.
- Audits vault documents.
- Must adhere to all Tribal Ordinance, Regulations, Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS), System of Internal Controls (SICS).
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor and/or manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to uphold the highest level of confidentiality.
- Familiarity and experience with general office equipment, including but not limited to 10-key calculator by touch, computerized financial systems, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) is required.
- Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively respond to inquiries from vendors, managers, and employees.
- Ability to communicate information through spoken words and sentences that others will understand in a positive manner.
- Ability to complete assessments accurately and timely.
- Ability to demonstrate understanding of audits performed.
- Superior attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible accounting or finance experience, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, or general ledger functions. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Must be 21 years old
- Must have a valid Wyoming driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Must have ability to deal with and adapt to frequent changes, delays, and unexpected events at times.
- Work in normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
- No or very limited physical effort required.
- No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
- Must be able to work sitting at workstation for duration of the shift
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
