The Accounting Department plays a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the organization. The team is responsible for managing financial reporting, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting compliance with accounting standards, and providing insights that help drive informed business decisions. Working closely with Finance, Operations, and other cross-functional teams, the department ensures that financial transactions are recorded accurately and that revenue is properly captured, reported, and optimized.

As the company continues to grow, the Accounting team is increasingly focused on strengthening financial controls, improving processes, and identifying opportunities to protect and maximize revenue. The Revenue Analyst will play an important role in this effort by analyzing billing processes, identifying potential revenue leakage, and supporting initiatives that improve billing accuracy and revenue recognition.

This role will collaborate with multiple teams across the organization to ensure financial processes are efficient, scalable, and aligned with the company’s commitment to operational excellence and sustainable growth.

Job Summary:

The Revenue Analyst is responsible for performing reviews and audits to identify revenue leakage, proposing to the business units and accounting additional controls, and supporting compliance with financial and operational billing and revenue standards. The Analyst will own key revenue assurance processes, ensure data integrity, and maintain comprehensive documentation, to promote best practices in billing and revenue recognition.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience in software and subscription-based businesses

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Execute reconciliation and audit processes between the Business unit (BU) systems and the billing/revenue recognition systems to look for missing billing and revenue includes user license and system functionality access audits.

  • Monitor and analyze billing and invoicing, processes to detect discrepancies and identify revenue leakage.

  • Develop and maintain revenue assurance controls, dashboards, and reporting tools.

  • Conduct root cause analysis for revenue leakage and recommend corrective actions.

  • Establish clear communication channels and workflows with the revenue accounting and billing departments to facilitate timely resolution of discrepancies.

  • Collaborate with Operations and Accounting teams to ensure accurate billing and revenue recognition.

  • Support audits and compliance initiatives related to billing and revenue processes.

  • Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.

  • Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue assurance, such as revenue leakage rate, reconciliation timeliness, annual run rate and in-year revenue adjustments and other audit findings.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Experience with ERP systems and automated reconciliation tools.

  • NetSuite and Zuora experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition rules.

  • Familiarity with subscription or usage-based revenue models.

  • Experience developing and tracking KPIs for revenue assurance.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks when supporting multiple business units or verticals.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.

  • 4+ years of experience in revenue assurance, financial analysis, internal audit or public accounting audit.

  • SaaS industry experience preferred.

  • Strong understanding of billing systems, revenue recognition principles, and financial controls.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, BI tools).

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Salary range: $54,689 to $85,000
