Responsible for analyzing and managing item level cost of goods and sales pricing for current distributor customers, ensuring optimal margins and revenue per item. Individual will be responsible for maintaining and updating pricing across various internal and external systems as needed. Additionally, the position includes managing customer service support for key supplier partners and performing all related order entry and communication needs. Individual should have strong communication skills, attention to detail, efficient work habits and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A general understanding of computers/software to be able to work efficiently and to navigate and learn new systems as needed. Position will report to VP Operations.
Responsibilities
Review and analyze all price changes implemented by our supplier partners and respond accordingly. Includes negotiation with the supplier, review and change in sales margin using an understanding of market conditions, with a goal of ensuring maximum revenue while maintaining competitive advantage.
Maintain accurate pricing in all necessary systems, both internal and external.
Maintain accurate deviation programs in all necessary systems to ensure correct programs/allowances/rebates both incoming and outgoing are accurate. Research deviation abnormalities related to deviations and supplier costing issues in order to avoid financial loss.
For select vendor partners, manage the entire customer service order cycle, from purchase order to product delivery and invoicing while keeping communication channels open and flowing during the entire transaction.
Track promotions and maintain accurate deviation information and terms.
Must work autonomously with strength in research, analytical thinking, strategic planning, and decision making.
Leverage technology to create data reporting that can be used to support business decisions.
Understanding revenue by program/item, identifying and recommending complementary products to maximize value, and drive customer satisfaction.
Understand and promote the goals of the business segment ensuring proper messaging to our supplier and customer partners, driving branded sales, and new product success.
Perform other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred; high school diploma is required.
Minimum 3 years of customer service experience involving costing, pricing and deviation analysis and related supply chain activities preferred.
