The Finance team at DCWP seeks a Revenue Analyst for our Revenue Unit. The Revenue Analyst will be responsible for processing Collections cases and outstanding fines and fees owed to DCWP, as well as acting as a liaison between businesses and DCWP and other city agencies. The candidate must be detail oriented, technologically proficient, a quick learner with excellent evaluation skills, analytical, and able to handle issues, questions, or requests from multiple sources promptly and efficiently. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Handle requests from businesses and act as liaison between DCWP and other city agencies regarding Cure program and other inquiries
- Assist in investigation of issues or questions regarding businesses and assist in resolving issues;
- Update and Manage assigned caseloads/task to ensure all received payments are processed, documented and entered;
- Manage all divisional processes surrounding and ensure that no process is undocumented; monitor and evaluate reports;
- Provide information to businesses and licensees regarding related processes;
- Manage payment agreements within Department guidelines;
- Review overpayments for possible refunds, and ensure all payments received, documented and processed;
- Work with financial tracking systems, escrow accounts, trust funds and payment plans
- Assist Revenue Unit with various projects, reviews and research; serve as a representative of the Agency to different stakeholders;
- Interact with general public, licensees and business representatives; respond to inquiries in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner;
- Perform other related tasks and special projects as required

Qualifications

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, one year of which must have been in an administrative capacity or supervising staff performing clerical/administrative work of more than moderate difficulty; or
2. An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience described in "1" above; or
3. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and five years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience as described in "1" above;
4. Education and/or experience equivalent to "1", "2", or "3" above. However, all candidates must possess the one year of administrative or supervisory experience as described in "1" above. Education above the high school level may be substituted for the general clerical/administrative experience (but not for the one year of administrative or supervisory experience described in "1" above) at a rate of 30 semester credits from an accredited college for 6 months of experience up to a maximum of 3½ years.

Skills Required

  • Strong attention to detail, technological proficiency, quick learning ability, evaluation and analytical skills
  • Experience interacting with the public, licensees, business representatives, and other city agencies; caseload and task management
