About the Role

The Revenue Accounting Senior Specialist is a detail-oriented accounting professional responsible for supporting the accurate and timely recording of revenue transactions, reconciling revenue accounts, and assisting with Accounts Receivable operations. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition standards. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to build expertise in revenue accounting and financial reporting within a fast-paced SaaS and payments environment. You will gain exposure to ERP systems, process improvements, and external audit support while working alongside an experienced Finance and Accounting team. This position requires full-time onsite presence in Pleasanton, CA.

How You Will Contribute

• Prepare and post revenue journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and ASC 606
• Reconcile revenue and accounts receivable accounts, resolving discrepancies as needed
• Support daily Accounts Receivable operations including invoicing, payment posting, account reconciliations, and adjustments
• Assist with managing the A/R aging schedule and follow up with customers regarding payments and chargebacks
• Complete daily cash reconciliations and maintain accurate records for audit support
• Partner with operations and finance teams on merchant processing matters and variance analysis
• Support the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of revenue
• Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audits by preparing supporting reports and documentation
• Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements within revenue accounting
  

Who We Are Searching For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with exposure to revenue recognition or accounts receivable
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, GAAP, and basic familiarity with ASC 606
• Experience with ERP or accounting software (NetSuite preferred) and CRM systems
• Proficiency with Excel (able to work with formulas, pivot tables, and reconciliations)
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
• A continuous learner who is eager to grow within revenue accounting and financial reporting
