As an intern, you will be part of the Revenue Accounting team which helps ensure the accuracy of Revenue for all Yahoo entities. The ideal candidate would have education and experience that aligns with general accounting functions.

Your Day

Ensuring 100% controllership integrity

Support month-end close process and procedures
-
Support Revenue Team email inbox related to revenue bookings associated with third-party partners
-
Prepare third-party revenue bookings for upload into Revenue system for monthly revenue recognition

Complete GL account reconciliations and prepare adjusting journal entries as necessary

Prepare month-end and quarter-end reporting for management

Assist Finance executives as required on ad hoc tasks and projects

Support external/internal audit and SOX compliance requests
You Must Have
-
Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
-
Highly organized individual who can work independently as well as with cross functional groups
-
Able to learn various software systems and reporting tools
-
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills required
-
Strong verbal and written skills along with good interpersonal skills
-
Strong computer skills, primarily Excel including pivots, vlookups and similar functions

Able to manage high volumes of transactions timely and accurately

The compensation for this position ranges from $24-$52/hr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.Our comprehensive benefits include a great 401k, company holidays, and wellness programs.
