As the company scales, it needs a dedicated Revenue Accounting Assistant to ensure accurate, timely, and reconciled revenue reporting across platforms like Stripe, HubSpot, and internal product systems. This role exists to maintain data integrity, resolve reporting variances, and support commission and revenue recognition workflows so senior accounting staff can operate efficiently. The objective is to create reliable, audit-ready revenue data that informs decision-making and supports growth.
The Impact you’ll make
Cross-platform revenue reporting
- Run and extract recurring revenue reports from Stripe, HubSpot, and internal product systems
- Consolidate data into standardized templates and reporting schedules
- Align internal reports with external partner statements
Reconciliations and variance resolution
- Build, maintain, and audit Excel-based revenue reports to identify discrepancies
- Investigate root causes of reporting variances across platforms
- Reconcile inconsistencies and escalate issues using sound accounting judgment
Commission and revenue recognition support
- Assist senior accounting staff with commission statement calculations
- Prepare inputs for revenue recognition and period-close reporting
- Maintain organized documentation to support audits and reviews
Data integrity and documentation
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and traceability of all revenue data
- Maintain clean, version-controlled files and reconciliation workpapers
- Track issue logs, decisions, and resolutions for recurring workflows
Process improvement within existing frameworks
- Work within established templates and SOPs to deliver on recurring deadlines
- Identify opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and controls
- Propose lightweight enhancements to templates, checks, and workflows
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Required:
- 2–5 years of accounting experience in a reporting, revenue, or financial operations role
- Strong Excel proficiency (formulas, lookups, pivots, and data auditing)
- Hands-on experience with financial/reporting tools such as Stripe, HubSpot, or similar platforms
- Intermediate accounting knowledge with familiarity in reconciliations, revenue reporting, and financial analysis
- Excellent organization and communication skills with the ability to meet recurring deadlines
