Manager, Revenue
What You Will Be Doing- Review Sales orders created by sales and order operations team on daily basis
- Review of Item step for proper GL account mapping and revenue recognition rule
- Review of Hardware shipments for revenue recognition and collecting all required document for revenue recognition as per ASC 606
- Review of contracts and purchase orders to determine proper revenue recognition under ASC 606.
- Manage revenue arrangements in NetSuite and monitor for missing or incorrect start/end dates other data
- Communicating and resolving non-standard approach followed in sales order creation and remedial action thereafter
- Support monthly and quarterly revenue close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and revenue deferrals.
- Track deliverables for projects-based revenue and recognize revenue upon meeting milestones.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation for both external auditors and internal SOX controls.
- Assist in automation initiatives to streamline revenue reporting and compliance processes.
- Ability to navigate complex contracts and apply revenue rules.
- Experience balancing hardware and SaaS accounting treatment.
- Variance analysis for MOM, QOQ and YOY for balance sheet and P&L , preparation of summary for +/-

- Build cross-functional working relationships within the company and provide technical guidance, training, and support to the Finance, Legal and Sales teams.
- Work actively with external auditors to ensure that revenue recognition interpretations are consistent and adhere to GAAP.
- Own and drive quarterly hardware revenue cutoff testing and implement new procedures to streamline the process
- Gain a solid understanding of business transactions and accounting flow, while identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives related to revenue processes, including reporting, data gathering, analysis and enhancement of existing processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, or related field.
- 3+ years’ US GAAP software and hardware revenue recognition experience and familiarity with US GAAP ASC 606 revenue recognition accounting guidance.
- 3+ years’ experience within a large public accounting firm and/or related industry revenue accounting experience.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to summarize key accounting and operational issues to management.
- Self starter and proactive in all aspects of your responsibilities
- Complex analytic problem solving and project management skills.
- Excel power user – must demonstrate advanced Excel skills
- Experience in financial analysis and/or business modeling including multiple element accounting
- Ability to work US California based hours
