The Revenue Accountant will play a key role in supporting our subscription and supplier-based revenue streams. This role is essential for ensuring compliance with revenue recognition standards, improving revenue reporting processes, and providing actionable insights to aid strategic decision-making.
What You’ll Do:
- Contract Analysis: Review and analyze customer contracts to determine proper revenue recognition and address potential revenue-related issues.
- Revenue Recognition: Apply ASC 606 and other relevant accounting standards to accurately recognize revenue, particularly for SaaS contracts.
- Revenue Accounting (SaaS): Assist in the full-cycle revenue accounting process for SaaS, including journal entries, revenue adjustments, and timely, accurate general ledger postings.
- Revenue Accounting (Supply): Support the revenue team with data collection and calculation for monthly commission revenue.
- Audit Support: Provide documentation and responses to internal and external audit inquiries related to revenue, ensuring audit readiness.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, customer success, and billing teams to resolve revenue-related issues and support inquiries.
- Additional Support: Assist the billing team with invoicing inquiries and support month-end close activities within AR and Revenue teams.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of accounting experience, with exposure to contract review and revenue recognition.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce).
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
