Role Summary
We are looking for a Revenue Accountant to join our global Accounting Team. The Revenue Accountant will report to the Revenue Manager and support the day to day operations - order processing, invoicing, collections, payouts, support sales, etc. Our ideal candidate is a hands-on self-starter who is detail oriented, able to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment, and has strong communication skills
Responsibilities
- As a Revenue Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining accurate recording of revenue-related transactions in accordance with GAAP.
- Participate in monthly accounting close activities and deliverables in NetSuite (i.e. journal entries, account reconciliations, analytics, and reporting).
- Partner and collaborate with cross functional teams including but not limited to Sales, Sales Operations, Legal and Finance.
- Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and post-launch validations to ensure seamless system implementation.
- Support the overall order to cash operations - reviewing contracts, onboarding customers, invoicing accurately and timely and developer payouts, etc.
- Ensure the integrity of key processes by understanding systems, flow of transactions, internal controls and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assist in refining revenue accounting operations with a focus on continuous improvements.
- Support quarterly reviews and annual audits and prepare audit schedules and disclosure-related schedules in a timely manner.
- Ad hoc project work as needed
Requirements:
- 2+ years of combined experience in public accounting or in corporate revenue accounting role
- Experience using NetSuite and Salesforce
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Data Analytics software
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a rapidly changing, fast-paced and results-oriented
