This will be a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week working from Asure's office in downtown Austin.


 How you will contribute

The Finance & Accounting department at Asure offers a dynamic work environment that welcomes innovative ideas, rewards hard work and commitment, exposes its members to growth opportunities, and encourages evolution of individuals, methodologies, processes, and systems.

The Revenue Accountant will be an integral member of the corporate accounting team addressing established deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including maintaining the revenue module, supporting monthly close, assisting with year-end audit, SOX Control Audits and internal reporting.


  • Review sales arrangements to ensure revenue operations are in accordance with the Company’s policy and revenue standard.
  • Review billing upload files to ensure the billing is accurate and properly coded to the right accounts.
  • Review support for billings to ensure appropriate performance has been achieved to satisfy billing and revenue recognition, as applicable.
  • Responsible for revenue month end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and month end reconciliations.
  • Prepare analysis reports for internal revenue and receivable review sessions between the corporate accounting team.
  • Calculate and book monthly revenue accruals.
  • Coordinate with other departments such as Sales Ops, Tax and Finance to provide detailed revenue reporting requests as needed.
  • Assist in calculating monthly rev rec on professional services projects.
  • Maintain and update internal control and process documentation for quote to cash.
  • Assist in the accounting research and documentation and creation of internal policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate audit requests for both internal and external audit as required.

Qualifications                                                             

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 2-5 years prior relevant experience in accounting gained in industry and/or public accounting.
  • Accounting experience in a software company preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, in particular an understanding of ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts with Customers preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce and NetSuite is preferred
  • Excellent organization skills and detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple, competing tasks simultaneously.
  • Confident in their excel spreadsheet competencies to ensure the use of a variety of formula driven excel efficiencies.
  • Experience/familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and documentation

Compensation

The base range for this role is $85,000.00-$100,000.00 per year depending upon level of experience.
