We are seeking a talented individual to join our Workers Compensation team at Marsh People Risk. This role will be based in our Perth office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days per week in the office.

The Return-to-Work Consultant provides professional outsourced return to work and claims consulting services to Marsh People Risk clients through the administration of injury management software; insurer and other stakeholder liaison and back-office injury management accountabilities. The role is a position in Workers Compensation consulting and injury management profession, with an opportunity for significant on the job development and career progression.

We will count on you to:

  • Perform outsourced Return to Work Coordinator functions, managing the return-to-work process for injured workers, including triaging and lodging new claims promptly.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive return to work plans tailored to the needs of injured workers, ensuring compliance with employer obligations and best practices.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, including injured workers, employers, insurers and medical professionals, to provide updates, gather information, and address concerns throughout the return-to-work process.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of claims to assess progress and recommend actions to facilitate recovery and return-to-work.
  • Provide proactive and strategic advice to clients on claims and injury management.
  • Administer injury management software, generate reports, and maintain accurate documentation and records to support effective injury management practices.

What you need to have:

  • Demonstrated experience in Workers Comp and/or injury management (at least 1yr + experience)
  • Experience in claims and/or injury management functions at an insurer,  employer or other relevant stakeholder.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Willingness to learn workers compensation on a national basis.

  • Tertiary qualifications in allied health (desirable but not essential)
