Profile Summary:

The Retention Sales Director will successfully manage Mid and Emerging Market Corporate and Tax Exempt Retention sales activities for existing plan sponsors with retirement plan assets ranging from roughly $25mm-$500mm in across a variety of geographical regions.

Profile Description:

  • Create and implement sales process to retain Emerging and Mid Market clients for Voya Financial

  • Collaborate with key Voya stakeholders to represent and demonstrate Voya’s products and services to existing clients through written proposals, in-person presentations and onsite visits

  • Serve as key point of contact throughout retention sales process of key clients including; facilitating sales presentations, preparing deal team members, negotiating fee arrangements and ensuring the maximum protection of company revenue and increase of revenue where opportunities exist

  • Build and develop institutional advisor and consultant relationships in partnership with other Voya employees to foster a proactive and transparent sales and relationship retention process

  • Collaborate to maintain pipeline of at-risk clients due to a variety of risk factors and identified areas of opportunity for revenue growth and adoption of revenue driving products and services

  • Participates in regional/national conferences and events to network with prospective decision makers

  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • 4-6 years or sales or relationship management  

  • Strong presentation skills & problem solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • In depth knowledge of financial products and services, preferably within institutional retirement services market

  • Series 6/63 preferred, or required within 90 days of hire

  • Salesforce.com or comparable CRM database experience a plus

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

$145,470 - $192,590 USD
