We're looking for a Retention product lead, to own one of Loora's most critical outcomes: keeping our users engaged, progressing, and coming back day after day.

This is a hands on, senior, high-ownership role. You'll lead our Retention Squad end-to-end - setting the strategy, building and prioritizing the roadmap, running experiments, and driving execution. You'll be the person accountable for the retention metric, and you'll work cross-functionally with AI research, data, design, and engineering to make it move.

This role is ideal for someone who combines sharp product instincts with analytical rigor, thrives in ambiguity, and genuinely cares about building products that drive learning metrics.

What You’ll Do
  • Define the retention strategy for Loora- what drives long-term engagement, what breaks it, and how we systematically improve it over time.

  • Develop a deep understanding of our users through data analysis, user interviews, cohort studies, and market research.

  • Identify the biggest opportunities and most critical challenges, and translate them into a clear, prioritized roadmap.

  • Make sharp prioritization calls with limited resources, using a strong mix of quantitative evidence and user intuition.

  • Design and run a continuous stream of experiments - from habit-formation mechanics and learning progression systems to personalization, perceived value, and long-term engagement loops.

  • Build a culture of rigorous testing within the squad: clear hypotheses, sound methodology, and honest read-outs.

  • Lead and inspire the Retention Squad - engineers, designers, and analysts- through execution of the roadmap.

  • Conduct ongoing market and competitive analysis to benchmark retention strategies, identify best practices, and translate external insights into product opportunities.

  • Partner closely with Loora's AI Research team to build data flywheels - systems that get smarter as we grow, continuously improving personalization, engagement triggers, and learning outcomes.

  • Think beyond product features: explore how AI-driven mechanisms (adaptive content, smart nudges, personalized pacing) can create retention advantages that compound over time.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years focused on growth, engagement, or retention in a consumer product.

  • Proven ability to lead a product domain end-to-end and own cross-functional initiatives, driving alignment and execution without formal authority

  • A track record of owning and moving a core business metric - not just shipping features.

  • Strong analytical skills - comfortable diving deep into retention curves, cohort analyses, and funnel data to form hypotheses and measure impact.

  • Experience designing and analyzing A/B experiments at scale.

  • Familiarity working with ML or AI teams to build data-driven product capabilities is a strong plus.

  • Excellent communication skills - able to synthesize complexity into clear strategy and rally a team around it.

  • Hands-on experience with product analytics tools (Mixpanel, Amplitude, Looker, or similar).

  • Low ego, high curiosity, and a bias for action.

Even better if you have:
  • Experience in consumer subscription products or EdTech.

  • Background in engineering or data.

  • Experience working in a fast-moving, early-stage startup environment.
